Get to know Tampa Heights
Tampa Heights is one of Tampa's older neighborhoods, immediately north of the downtown area. Its relationship to the Hillsborough River and the central city is an important part of its local identity.
Armature Works and the Riverwalk area are recognizable destinations for getting acquainted with this part of Tampa. The neighborhood also extends beyond those riverfront landmarks, so exploring residential streets gives a more complete impression.
For a prospective home, compare the individual block and building with the larger neighborhood setting. Consider renovation history, outdoor space and your actual route to nearby destinations rather than assuming all Tampa Heights locations have the same relationship to the waterfront.
