Get to know Saint Petersburg
St. Petersburg occupies a substantial part of southern Pinellas County, with many neighborhoods extending beyond its well-known downtown. Its mainland setting is distinct from St. Pete Beach, a separate coastal municipality.
The bayfront center, museums and Central Avenue provide an introduction to the city's cultural identity. Residential areas elsewhere in St. Petersburg have their own local geography and should be explored individually rather than through a downtown-only lens.
Start with the surroundings you would like to have nearby, then compare particular neighborhoods and streets. A broad St. Petersburg address can mean very different relationships to the waterfront, central city and routes across the peninsula.
