Get to know Daytona Beach Shores
Daytona Beach Shores occupies a narrow coastal area south of Daytona Beach and north of Ponce Inlet. Its barrier-island setting provides a distinct geographic identity, separate from mainland communities on the other side of the Halifax River.
The Atlantic and Halifax River frame the peninsula, creating an ocean-facing side and a waterway-facing side within a narrow coastal landscape. The mainland cities remain across the river, giving the Shores a distinctly separate island-side setting.
