Venice Gardens lies south of Venice and north of South Venice in Sarasota County. It is a distinct mapped mainland community, separate from Venice's central island and downtown area.

Plantation lies to the east, while the coastal side of the county is farther west. The community forms part of the transition from the Venice-centered region toward South Venice and Englewood to the south.
