Get to know Siesta Key
Siesta Key is a Gulf barrier island west of Sarasota's southern mainland communities. Its beaches and village shopping and dining areas give it a recognizable island identity, with Gulf-facing and inland-waterway sides.
South Sarasota and Gulf Gate lie across the water to the east. The island setting is distinct from those mainland communities, even though they share the wider Sarasota region and connect to the key by bridges.
