Longboat Key

Longboat Key is a barrier-island town spanning parts of Manatee and Sarasota counties. The Gulf forms its western shoreline, while the bay-facing side looks toward the mainland, creating two distinct waterfront settings.

Anna Maria Island lies beyond Longboat Pass to the north, and Sarasota anchors the mainland region to the southeast. The island's elongated shape is a defining feature, with different neighborhoods spread along the key rather than around one central grid.
