Wahneta

Wahneta is a community south of the Winter Haven area and southeast of Eagle Lake in central Polk County. It sits between the larger Winter Haven region to the north and the Bartow and Alturas side of the county farther south.

The Chain of Lakes is a recognizable feature of the wider Winter Haven region, while Wahneta supplies a more precise local reference point. Its mapped area is distinct from those neighboring cities, even where property descriptions use a broader mailing name.
