Get to know Homeland
Homeland is a small community south of Bartow and north of Fort Meade. Its historic identity is highlighted by Homeland Heritage Park, where preserved buildings provide a tangible connection with Polk County's earlier settlement history.
The community lies in the county's interior, away from the northern group of cities around Lakeland and Winter Haven. Bartow and Fort Meade are useful surrounding reference points, but Homeland remains a distinct local place rather than simply a subdivision name within either city.
