Highland City

Highland City is a community between the Lakeland area and Bartow in western-central Polk County. It lies southeast of Lakeland and northwest of Bartow, with Lakeland Highlands farther west and Eagle Lake to the east.

That position gives it a different context from either larger city center. Bartow's historic civic core is a regional reference to the southeast, while the broader Lakeland area lies in the opposite direction; Highland City identifies a more focused local area between them.
