Auburndale

Auburndale is a city in north-central Polk County, between the Lakeland area to the west and Lake Alfred and Winter Haven to the east. It has its own downtown and municipal identity within a closely connected group of inland communities.

The Lake Myrtle sports area is a recognizable local destination highlighted by the county's official visitor bureau. The city's position also makes it a useful base for understanding nearby smaller communities such as Fussels Corner and the places surrounding Winter Haven.
