Get to know Palmetto

Palmetto occupies the northern side of the Manatee River opposite Bradenton. Its waterfront geography gives it a separate city identity while keeping it part of the same river-centered regional landscape.

Ellenton lies to the east and Memphis to the north. The barrier-island towns are farther west, so Palmetto's setting is better understood through the river and mainland communities than through the beach-resort geography.
