Bayshore Gardens lies south of Bradenton and north of Whitfield in southwestern Manatee County. Its location is on the mainland side of the region, separate from the barrier-island communities of Anna Maria Island and Longboat Key.

The community belongs to the transition between the Bradenton and Sarasota areas. South Bradenton lies to the north, while Whitfield continues the pattern of separately named mainland communities toward the county line.
