Yalaha lies southeast of Leesburg and west of Howey-in-the-Hills, on the southern side of Lake Harris. Its lake-region setting gives it a different geographic focus from the communities around Clermont or the northern county.
Lake Harris is a defining feature of the surrounding regional geography, separating and connecting nearby communities. The local setting belongs to the southern side of that lake area, with Leesburg beyond the water toward the northwest.
