Okahumpka sits south of Leesburg and west of Yalaha. Its position at the southwestern side of the Leesburg area creates a distinct local setting, especially when comparing homes around the larger lakes and neighboring county boundaries.
The community occupies the southwestern edge of the wider Leesburg lake region. That position places it between the larger municipality to the north and the more southerly communities around Yalaha and Howey-in-the-Hills.
