Get to know Ferndale
Ferndale lies north of Montverde and northeast of Minneola in Lake County. It provides a smaller geographic focus within the southern county, separate from the larger municipal areas nearby and from the county's northern forest communities.
Ferndale Preserve protects land along Lake Apopka's western shore, including both upland and wetland environments. The conservation area provides a local natural landmark and places Ferndale within the landscape surrounding one of the region's major lakes.
