Flagler Beach is an Atlantic coastal city south of Beverly Beach. Its shoreline setting, local restaurants and small businesses give it a recognizable beach-town identity within Flagler County.

The city occupies the coastal side of the region, while Bunnell and Palm Coast provide separate inland reference points. The oceanfront and waterway geography distinguish it from the county's agricultural areas farther west.
