Get to know Punta Gorda
Punta Gorda sits on the southern side of the Peace River near its entrance to Charlotte Harbor. Its waterfront location gives the city a distinct identity across the water from Port Charlotte and the Charlotte Harbor community.
The Harborwalk and Gilchrist Park are recognizable waterfront features of the city. The larger Punta Gorda area also reaches inland, where separately named communities such as Solana and Cleveland form part of the surrounding regional picture.
