Get to know Manasota Key

Manasota Key is a Gulf barrier island west of Englewood and Grove City. The island separates the open Gulf from the protected waters on its mainland side, creating two different shoreline settings within a narrow strip of land.

Stump Pass Beach State Park marks the island's southern end. Its beach and natural coastal landscape provide a contrast to the developed portions of the key and reinforce the area's island identity.
