Davis Islands is an island neighborhood beside downtown Tampa, connected to the city across the water. Tampa General Hospital and Peter O. Knight Airport are well-known geographic anchors within this distinctive setting.
The neighborhood combines its residential identity with those major institutions and its relationship to the bay. Looking at different parts of the islands gives a better introduction than treating the area as one uniform waterfront location.
When choosing a home, consider its street, nearby activity and route into downtown. Water views, frontage and boating arrangements vary by property, so an island address alone does not establish the water access a home provides.
